The Design Festa is just around the corner and we are getting ready for the big day. Things are a little bit frantic at the moment, but it's nothing we can't handle. We are still very busy with our own endeavours and seeking to secure locations and such for filming. We have had a tremendous amount of success with securing locations and actors and we are very grateful for everyone's support.
As for the Design Festa, we were fortunate enough to be contacted by them telling us that they may be recording an interview of us. I am not sure exactly what they are doing with it so that information will be given in a future blog. Here is the website address and, as you can see, our production company is the first one featured on the page.

That's all for now. We will be updating this to let everyone how it went. To those of you in the Tokyo area, come out and support us at our booth on May 17th. We will be having a guess that tune game and some prizes to hand out.
Stay Rockin' y'all!!!

Here a Festival, There a Festival....
Everywhere a festival!
Tokyo seems to have it all when it comes to expression whether it be through music, theatre, cosplay, fashion, fetishes, art....you name it. There seems to be a niche for everything and anything imaginable...and unimaginable. If done correctly, you may find the darkest, deepest corners of the creative world that will satisfy your darkest and deepest urges...even by accident...or so we've been told;) Luckily for Groundplay Entertainment, we don't need to go to such lengths to find establishments that will exhibit our passions.
As you all know (if you have been following that is), we are currently in production of Kings of Karaoke and have been diligently trying to get the word out. With that said, it has been quite an eventful week for us and that makes us happy. Here we go:
1. Our first website for the Kings of Karaoke movie is officially up and running. You will find the Groundplay Entertainment bio, cast bios, synopsis, trailer and more. Please visit us and feel free to make any comments/suggestions as we would love to hear from you. Check it out here:

2. We have entered the Tokyo Fringe Festival and will be showing our previous work "My Ex-Girlfriend's TV" along with the trailer for the "Kings of Karaoke" movie on May 31st, 2009. however, we received word that the site is under construction and will be updated shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to check it out at:

We will update you as things develop...
3. We have also entered the Tokyo Design Festa Vol. 29 on May 17th, 2009 to promote the movie and show My Ex-Girlfriend's TV as well. On top of that, we have been selected out of 100's of applicants to be interviewed during the festival. It is a very large event that allows artists from around the world to display their creativity and share it with the public. It is certain that everyone will witness something that will boggle their minds. However, that is not the reaction we are going for; we would be content with generating interest in our movie and that is what we intend to do. We have generated a lot of ideas on how we are going to present ourselves, but more on that in a later blog. In the meantime, please check out their website at:
http://www.designfesta.com/index.html (click on the appropriate flag in the top right-hand corner for your language of choice)
That is all for now. We have a lot more in store to share with you in the future so please sit tight and check back for future blogs. For now, please check out the websites and enjoy.
Stay Rockin!!!

Sneak Preview
After gathering a lot of raw footage throughout various locales in Tokyo and after many sleepless nights editing (Thanks Mr. Hong!), it has finally arrived. Yes folks, the first unofficial trailer is up for your viewing. And no, it is not on YouTube due to some unfortunate complications with the good people at Warner Brothers. This is rather unfortunate being that YouTube is the preferred avenue for viral marketing; however, our good friends at DailyMotion see no harm in allowing such behaviour; not yet anyways. With that said, it is with great pleasure to introduce to you all the first version of the trailer and first sneak peek at what we have in store for the movie. You can find it here:

We have received a lot of praise, support and criticisms from those who have seen it already and we welcome it all. Be sure to throw your 2 cents by commenting below.
Thanks, Enjoy and Stay Rockin!
